There are no new unread posts for this topic.   We are a PLTW School District. We are a 1:1 school district. Our students are using RobotC 4.27 on a MacBookAir via a Citrix Receiver. Everything is working great EXCEPT when we connect the VEX devices, they are not communicating with the software. I have updated Software on the Citrix Receiver. I have updated the firmware on the VEX device thru a Windows OS machine. Everything seems to be current. I know the Receiver sees USB devices because it will see a Flashdrive. We would appreciate any... Vex and RobotC not communicating via Citrix

When we try to download the firmware manually or automatically to the Cortex, we receive a message saying that the computer cannot find a serial link to the Cortex, even after we connect the Cortex to the computer with a UsB cable and turn the Cortex on. Any suggestions, please ? Cortex not being recognized

The problem we're trying to solve is twofold: (1) an unnoticed loose sensor wire causes us to not have a physical connection to one or more controllers, and (2) rare behavior we've noticed where either the NXT or motor/servo controllers will not communicate on first start. From other IDEs and word processing, my fingers are used to hitting Alt F S, when I think SAVE. The RobotC IDE requires Ctrl S. I've noticed when I hit Alt, that the word File in the upper left menu bar does highlight, but a menu doesn't drop down. Is there a way of turning on the Alt option? Then do the opposite for 8d. I only know how to make it got a full 127 and hold or -127. I think there is a way using integers but now sure. Hopefully someone can write me a sample code. I'm using the command cCmdWriteToBluetooth since need to send 8 datas per package. My idea is to develop a SW on my PC to use these datas. In RVW, the single cube contacts both starting squares and is thus counted twice but each scoring object should only be able to be scored once. Incorrect scoring in Skyrise

The RPi with BrickPi is great if you're familiar with Linux. I have no experience with the NXT and Python, but I am quite familiar with ROBOTC on the NXT :) Tell us what you're trying to do and we'll be able to give you much better advice! = Xander Cloud billing

As it is right now we us power control to drive our robot in tele-op. The problem with this is that our robot is not perfectly balanced, and when we try to drive sideways, the robot arcs instead of going straight. Apparently they changed something in the version 3.62 which made nDatalogSize obsolete and RobotC doesn't see it as a system variable. So I though that maybe the NXT allocate memory for datalogging and I just had to use the function datalogClear each time I wanted to log datas. But It doesn't works and the datas are saved correctly only the first time... How to use datalogClear (NXT)

When we go to compile and download a program we get the following response: "Failed to verify that a serial link is connected to a robot controller. Vex cortex master firmware version (0.00) is out of date, (4.22) upgrade required. Any suggestions vexnet joystick serial link problem

If you click the drop down list box, you will notice that there is no option for "12V Motor (TETRIX)". But with the 64 MB available in the EV3 I don't understand why I am limited to using 15 kB (ish) in RobotC. Is there some technical reason for this or is it simply a leftover from the NXT code? The color sensor cycles through a range of colors turning on and off The display readout never shows anything except that the code is running and the flashing green lights on the brick. Robot has a single color sensor and the ultrasonic sensor. Ports are verified - sensor is configured - but even after flashing the firmware and reloading the code, there is no reading ever showing up on the display. IDEAS??? Another program will not recognize a bump switch at all, only the reed switches. Any input is appreciated. It only works if I move the negative sign from the power parameter to the encoder target value. Can you change the example in the next release? Thanks! Functions with Encoders example is incorrect

The windows device manager recognizes it but RobotC doesn't. I have tried it on 4 computers all running the same version of RobotC and they can't connect to it. This type is used in a struct to represent an up and a down button, such as Btn8U and Btn8D. When checking if one of these buttons is pressed using vexRT[], the only response I can get is by moving the right joystick to a value that is not zero. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? I am attempting to do this lab with my students Can anyone give me advice as to how to accurately measure the degrees in a turn? I figure using a protractor is the way to go, but I'm not sure how to set it up to get an accurate measurement. Remember at this point the students know nothing about PID. One issue is how to get a bunch of kids programming when RobotC licenses are locked to individual PCs. Has anyone tried spinning up a virtual machine on Amazon (AWS), installing RobotC on it and using that as a programming environment? Both would have work together to provide leveling and range of pickup. a sample code would probably point us in the right direction. RP Programing potentoimeters one for robot lift one for pickup.

So I ran the sample code for datalogging and the data made absolutely no sense. There are no new unread posts for this topic.   I see there is a marketing release about 4.10 that says "Initial Support for I2C devices with EV3 platform". Is this in reference to the Tetrix controllers? I can't get them to work. (I'm actually using HiTechnic controllers if that is relevent). Please let me know if these are currently being supported, and if they're not, if there is any rough timeline of when they are expected to be supported. (I understand no timeline may exist).
