I am using brickOS even with old serial IR tower so that I want to port that RobotC source to brickOS source, I want to know if it is easy to do and where I can find relevant information. If I have a GPS connected to the Cortex through UART and the GPS is outputting coordinates, what happens if there is a delay in between reading the GPS? So, if the GPS is outputting coordinates and the Cortex pauses, does the Cortex skip reading the characters that were sent in between the pause or does the GPS only send new characters after one has been read? Question about the UART

There are no new unread posts for this topic.   When we try to compile and download a progra or when we try to download firmware, RobotC says "activity type 0%" and never gets past that. All green lights are on, and motors and sensors are set up properly, but we cannot get past this page. we are trying to use Vex 2.0 language instead of Natural. It does this on both languages though. Activity Type 0%

We previously did a major project involving broadcasting data back to the computer, which was possible because Java programs for FischerTechnic were run remotely, having the computer issue commands through the serial port. It seems like this isn't possible with ROBOTC because ROBOTC programs are compiled and then run directly on the Cortex. Am I correct? Is there any way to have the Cortex... Streaming Data Back

I have tried syncing the motors using this(see attachment or program) but it seem that the robot is now not turning when it's required to. Without the synced motors command it turns perfectly fine and works well, but trying to keep the motors in sync was confusing to me. I'm begging you to help me sync the motors and have it solve my... For example I don't seem to have found a way to do unit testing? Also is there any way to just use the robotc compiler but code in a different IDE? Also my up/down-arrow key doesnt seem to cause line-change sometimes, not sure why yet edit: well seems you cant use a diff compiler (just saw a thread in the general section about that) Unit Testing, alternative IDEs?

We have a 12V Tetrix motor attached to a HiTechnic Motor Controller. The nMotorEncoder value consistently reads correctly and works in programs. However, we attempted to use the "nMaxRegulatedSpeed12V = x" command that we found here . This appears to do nothing to the maximum speed of the arm. As I understand it to work, it sets a maximum speed, in encoder counts per... Use of "nMaxRegulatedSpeed12V"

EDIT: motorLuts = & backLeftDriveSettingLut works, but I want to be able to access values like motorLuts , for example. (From what I understand, &backLeftDriveSettingLut is a pointer to a pointer.) Then I thought I would try porting the code to RobotC. Reading the "Getting Started" page, it said I need to upgrade the bootloader because the existing bootloader has a bug that it doesn't allow the user program to be flashed to non-zero address. There are no new unread posts for this topic.   In the Education version of the LabVIEW software, it included the build instructions and code for the "Gyro Boy" project. I built it and tried it out. It's pretty cool. But since I don't really know LabVIEW and RobotC doesn't support EV3 yet, I decided to port the Gyro Boy code to RobotC on an NXT. I built a similar Gyro Boy with NXT without the arms (i.e. no color sensor, no sonar sensor and no arm motor) and no touch sensor either. It seems the code is trying to balance but it... This sample program will perform line tracking using the VEX IQ Clawbot with the VEX IQ Color Sensor. IE in vex tossup there are 4 mats 2 on each side, i wish to allow me to have one customized robotc program to one side, and the other. But i wish to do this with a flow chart selection system so my teammates who didnet program can use it in the event im not there. IE, question 1. are you on red or blue (alliances), question 2. There are no new unread posts for this topic.   I recently ran into a bug with the ROBOTC compiler where dividing by zero does not prevent compilation and downloading. As a result, ROBOTC crashes. Also, when using joystick values in trigonometry functions and they are at zero, ROBOTC crashes then as well. I thought I should make you guys aware of these bugs.
