Due to this bug being discovered at the beginning of the FTC Worlds Championship, we are making this easy fix public knowledge instead of pushing out an update. There are no new unread posts for this topic.   I noticed that in 3.58 RobotC that #define nGyroJitterRange 4 appears. I believe in 3.08 that this was 3. Am I correct in assuming that this defines the A/D count dead zone of +_4 counts or about +_2.8 deg/sec. BTW... my recent testing of a gyro shows a drift of about 6 deg/min even with this setting. Apparently my gyro must be very noisy. Our team has not been successful using the gyro to do the Sack Attack Programming Challenge purely autonomously. See post: One of these days I hope Vex will... There are no new unread posts for this topic.   For newer versions of robotc, I wanted it to have a separate branch in the motors and sensors setup to come out when you added a sensor or touch multiplexer. There would 4 new ports That would be under the branch of the sensor or touch mux port which you could name them and tell what type of sensor they are. This way, wouldnt have to identify sensors from the mux in the code. I also wanted it so that there is no extra programming that you need to do to initialize the mux or have the sensors... Idea for later versions of robotc.

I may add some nice wrappers for sending Tweets and that sort of thing but maybe someone else can do that and I’ll add the code to the Suite. I need some people to test the Dexter Industries dWiFi driver. I have made some pretty extensive changes to it and it needs more testing. In previous years, we always have to write two programs: one for autonomous and one for teleop and must use the Competition Joystick dialog to "select" the teleop program name. This will generate a ftcconfig.txt file on the NXT brick that contains the teleop program name so that after autonomous period is done, the FCS can instruct the NXT to load the correct teleop program and run it. I understand that this year, the dual program mode will still... How do Program chooser and Single program mode work?

I wanted to upgrade to Windows 8 from Win XP for running RobotC and I use VMWare Fusion 5 on a Mac Mountain Lion host. I fancied a clean install as I only really have Windows for RobotC and MS Robotics Studio so try to keep things light and fast. The process of doing a clean install in VMWare Fusion was not so straightforward. The program below, which evolved largely from one of the the RobotC samples, shows the problem. If the "const" is removed from the filename declaration it properly reads and writes one editable value to a file. With the "const" in place it does not create the file and also fails to read the file even if it exists. V3.51 File IO bug

There are no new unread posts for this topic.   Hello, i have some problem with communication protocols for IO MAP ACCESS from LEGO. ... n-Protocol I have firmware from robotc (nxt_0952.rfw) on my NXT 2.0. Actually, my problem is that via a Bluetooth connection (on the Android system via Java) trying to retrieve pixels from the screen. As far as I know this can be achieved with the communication protocol (Read IO map command). I'm not sure if I'm doing all right, but I'm working towards the guidance of the communication protocol of lego. If... IO MAP ACCESS

The minimal version for the Driver Suite has been set to 3.08. If you need support for an older version ROBOTC, I would advise you to stick with a previous version of the Suite. Please note that the drivers don’t seem to work very well with ROBOTC 3.12 beta due to a bug in the I2C sensor stuff in ROBOTC. Hopefully in the next version I can release drivers for the new HiTechnic... RELEASED: 3RD PARTY ROBOTC DRIVER SUITE V2.7

When a start program, the value of sensor program is good but after a moment, the sensor sensor falls into default. I see it in the window "NXT Device Control" the sensor value indicates "rangeErr" and after "modeRaw", the value switches from one mode to another. I've been trying to use the CMPS03 with NXT for the last two days and all I can get is values ranging from 0 to around 700 and then it jumps from around 2200 up to 3599. I am reading (I think and hope) the 2 bytes needed, shifting the first and then adding the second. The compass is connected in parallel with an MD22 also from Devantech to the NXT and is away around 15 cm from the rest of the robot. Does anyone have any experience in...
