I am currently having some trouble sending messages back and forth between my PC and my NXT. I have managed to get a successful pairing between the two, and can download programs to the NXT from the RobotC IDE if I so choose. I am using a C++ communications library found here: . There are no new unread posts for this topic.   Is there a reason why you can't just use char array instead of string type? Strictly speaking, there is no string type in ANSI C anyway. The only worry I would have using char array is the lack of pointer support (as I was told) that makes passing a char array around impossible but then you have the snprintf intrinsic that takes "char *" in RobotCIntrinsics.c. So it must have some pointer support. That's what confuses me and I never have time to test this out. So may be you should try... how to change default string size ?

Previously I've just been switching the cables to program them, but I've figured out how I can have each of their programs opened and linked to the specific NXT! 1. Turn off the first NXT, and turn on the other one. Now open RobotC again, so that you have two of them open. 4.... A guide on how to program multiple NXTs at the same time

There are no new unread posts for this topic.   I haven't tried the "this" keyword. But I would avoid using it since it is a keyword in C++. You don't want to confuse whoever reading the code thinking this is C++. Having said that, RobotC is a hybrid of C and C++. It does have some C++ features. For example, it allows function parameter initialization so you can skip a parameter if you want to go default. It also supports function overloading. There are some other minor C++ features too.
