I was able to send messages successfully from the nxt to the processing environment and parse them, however any message i send back to the NXT doesnt seem to be receiving properly. i am using the cCmdMessageRead and cCmdMessageGetSize function to receive on the robotC end, however the receive buffer always seems to be zero. additionally, i believe i am formatting the bytes correctly on... Receiving BT messages via Processing

Is there a way to create a keyboard shortcut in robotC to directly open the joystick control so I don't have to go through all these options each time I upload the new program to the brick? Thanks! There are no new unread posts for this topic.   We are experencing an issue with the USB connection to one of our instructor laptops in Robot-C v. 2.32.. Its Windows XP service pack 3... the USB connection works fine on 11 other PCs (a mix of XP SP 3 and Win7 SP 1, both Pro).. strange thing is it did work then stopped working, have tried remove/uninstall of USB drivers, reboots, uninstall/reinstall of software, ect, and user has admin rites on local machine... anything else that can be tried? There are many, many changes since the 1.x version of the suite, not so many if you’ve been using the betas. The NXT cam use the sensorI2CCustomFastSkipStates mode and the IRSeeker use the sensorCustomI2C mode. I don't know how to switch between the two mode. The Sensors have 2 different I2C adress. Does someone have a brief example of how to use this? The goal here is to try to enqueue some data in a mailbox queue so that it can be successfully polled remotely over USB using the MessageRead direct command. cCmdMessageAddToQueue seems to be the thing which *ought* to do the trick, but alas. The point rotation turn is when each motor turns at the same speed but in opposite directions. The command listed in this spot in the help menu is: turnPointRight(mRot, mRotPerSec) There is no information given about what the variables represent--I assume it is degrees. This would seem to be a handy command, but the compiler is not happy-- the error is "undefined... Turn Point command shown in the help menu

There are no new unread posts for this topic.   Just installed the latest RobotC 2.x beta and updated the firmware on my NXT via RobotC. Sample programs and IDE are working as expected. Problem is, fantom.dll v1.1.3 (using it via unmanaged calls in .NET) cannot talk to the NXT anymore, ie, NXT Iterator fails to find an NXT via USB. Pre RobotC firmware, this worked (and still works if I connect a stock firmware NXT). I read in other posts that RobotC uses fantom in some form (looking at the install directory, v1.1.1 of fantom.dll resides... RobotC NXT Firmware and Fantom USB Connectivity

I'm having hard time trying to make my robot work. I use Hi technic color sensor for the robot, the purpose of the robot is to balance itself (I don't need it to move forward, just stay balanced). I'm looking at operation with motor power levels of; 10, 25, 50, 75, & 100. I'm finding something that seems a little strange and was wondering if anyone could help explain it. It appears that a MOTOR has different operating characteristics depending on whether it is being run in FLOAT MODE. I've never noticed any problems like this when running in NXT-G. I'm running the... This work that if I press down the touch sensor I can use the accelerator and steer the belts. The other NXT is for the tower that acts like a ballshooter. 3 motors, 1 touch sensor an 1 accelerator. I use 2 motors to turn the tower horisontal and vertical with the accelerator, and 1 motor to fire the balls with the touch sensor. In other words I can have one controll in each hand to... What I cannot seem to figure out is how to access the I2C sensor (ultrasonic sensor or the HiTechnic compass sensor). Currently both sensors are connected to the NXT, but eventually I will need one of those ports for other sensors. What code do I use to set that up and how do I read the sensor when I need to? Having built the standard color sorter from the NXT2.0 kit, I didn't fancy going through the NXT-G step-by-steps (all 80+ of them) so decided to write a ROBOTC version and see if couldn't tweak it a bit. This was just reported to me on Friday afternoon, and I think the young fellow attempting the connection knew to have BT on and visible on the NxT bricks, but I shall check that today or Monday. In the meantime - are there any funkinesses that I should know about with RobotC v 2.26, and Win 7 or internal BT? But how do I get my robot to go straight using a NXT brick, 2 RCX motors and 2 RCX rotation sensors? Essentially, how do I implement things like motor encoder, and motors sync commands with the RCX rotation sensors and the 2 RCX motors using ROBOTC to get precise movements? Below is a ROBOTC RCX Sample Program for the Rotation Sensor. However when I tried to download it to my NXT it gave me an error... NXT RCX Hybrid Help

Basically, I will be building a DataLog and storing values as the program executes. However, the user needs the option to reset the DataLog (i.e. clear any currently logged values) and begin logging new information without shutting the program down. I can't seem to find any commands that will allow me to clear the in-memory DataLog. Are there any hidden commands that would allow for this? Any other methods to make... Basically I would like to send commands to the NXT over the USB connection and have the NXT perform action such as move a motor or read a sensor. I am looking for a simple API in whatever language on the PC to connect to USB, transmit/receive command (integer, byte, string, etc.) and close connection. I tried using notepad but the uploaded file has zero bytes in it. What program and conditions do I need to use to create a usable file that I can upload to the NXT? I am working on a code that reading a specific color like red and using this color to have a corresponding tasks, the problem is when i applied the sample given by the RobotC guys, it doesn't work... and also the i have this problem on controlling the motors. I have tested the sample of turning 90 degrees to the left and right but when these codes are integrated in the main program with the wavefront algorithm, it doesn't follow anymore i mean it is not... nxt color sensor using if statements

That way I can have a real time update of what i want the robot to do. I am kind of new to robotC - thank you for your help ReadTxtFile
