I have a question that is extremely important to me because I need it for a competition. I have a Tetrix robot with 2 12V motors controlled by a Mindsensors controller. I use an NXT (EV3 is not supported by RobotC) to control the movement of the motors.
I want to accurately move the robot forward for about 50 centimeters and turn 90 degrees. Is there a way to control the movement accurately and reliably? I use encoder values but the robot seems to jump when it starts and jerks out of position. I also added 2 NXT light sensors but they are not aligning the robot on the line accurately each time.
I would appreciate any help you may give me.
Thanks,
Pericles

Re: NXT and Tetrix Moving Reliably
Try adding a START button to the program. The program would start running then you would hit the START button to commence motion. This allows all of your initialization to occur before motion begins.
