Does anyone know how SPI(Serial Peripheral Interface) could be bit-banged in robotc for the protoboard?

Linked below is the github repository my team used this year for adding our own gyro. We basically used an arduino to integrate the gyro to make a heading then sent that back through the super pro board. We did this because the Super Pro board itself is very slow. Look at the gyro integration branch to see our gyro specific code. Also the wiki on the git repository has a little more information. Feel free to post any questions you have.
