ROBOTC 4.x for EV3 VM + USB Work-around
ProblemIf you are using a Windows 8.x VM in a VMware Workstation, you may experience crashes of ROBOTC whenever you are accessing the brick. The cause of the issue lies in the Casper library, which is used to communicate with the brick. There is a work-around for this issue.
WorkaroundTo access the VM settings, navigate to the VM menu:
Select the USB controller in the list of devices and set the USB compatibility to 2.0.
It's probably best to restart your VM after this.
