I've been trying to get the Hitechnic IR Seeker V2 & Mindsensors IR Dist (Long Range) to work in my program but neither will produce useable output. This is my test program. I've tried both sensors with no joy :-( . Using Robotc 4.26 with FW 1.06X & latest librobotc installed on EV3 brick.

#pragma config(Sensor, S1,     HTIRS2,         sensorHiTechnicIRSeeker1200)
#pragma config(Sensor, S4,     IRDIST,         sensorI2CMindsensorsDist)
//*!!Code automatically generated by 'ROBOTC' configuration wizard               !!*//
#include "hitechnic-irseeker-v2.h"
#include "common.h"

task main()
   while (true)
      playTone(SensorValue(HTIRS2) * 1000,60);

Based on Xander's posts, I believe that as we speak he is madly working away on porting his extensive driver set from the NXT to the EV3.

I also am sitting here in keen anticipation of a working set of drivers.

I have always been told that "good things come to those that wait" and I am really looking forward to the new driver set.

I am currently working on fixing some bugs in ROBOTC itself, but when that's done, I'll continue working on the Driver Suite. As much as I wish it to be otherwise, there are only so many hours in a single day. However, when I have finally taken my place as just ruler of Earth, I'll implement a 26 hour day, so people have a bit more free time.

As for supporting me, you can read about it on this page: ... is-site-2/ :)
