|Post subject:||Running RobotC in a virtual machine - like on AWS|
This is my first post as I am a total newbie. So it might be in the wrong place. If so let me know. I'm looking at getting an FTC team up and running. One issue is how to get a bunch of kids programming when RobotC licenses are locked to individual PCs. Has anyone tried spinning up a virtual machine on Amazon (AWS), installing RobotC on it and using that as a programming environment? I suspect that you can't download to an NXT but once the files are written could they be committed to a subversion repository and then checked out on a real PC for download and test? The advantage would be that kids could remote into the VM from anywhere, home, school or meeting place. And when one kid is done, another could use the same license.
