Post RobotC 4.26 bug.
The ExternalMotor/Servo Controllers option is not persistent across
restarts of Robot 4.26.

Steps to reproduce:

- Start RobotC, select Robot->Platform Type->External Motor/Servo Controlers.
- Configure some Tetrix motor controller motors.
- Write some software, save program.
- Shut down RobotC (click on close x button)
- Start RobotC, load your saved program and a dialog appears complaining
that you do not have External Motor/Servo Controllers configured.

I'm also having an issue with external motors, I configure an external motor controller, but then under motors, the drop down box for the TETRIX motor controller only has no motor as an option. My attachment shows the menu.

Could you send a mail to support@robotc.net with a description of this issue and referring to this particular thread?

Thanks!

I did. The reply was essentially, "We can't reproduce this unless we do
this specific thing that isn't in your repro instructions." And yet that
specific thing wasn't what I was doing. So I made a
video to demonstrate the problem and posted to YouTube.

Post Re: RobotC 4.26 bug.
There are two separate issues being discussed here; the original issue (External Motor/Servo setting not saving) was one we were initially unable to reproduce but have come across with further testing. This is a confirmed bug in ROBOTC for LEGO Mindstorms 4.26 and will be fixed in the next release.

The second issue is due to support for External controllers with the EV3 platform not yet being available in ROBOTC 4.0 (it is currently under development, and TETRIX support for the NXT is currently available). This issue was addressed in this post; we generally ask that you don't crosspost issues from one thread to another as this will only create confusion on the debugging process.

If all goes well, a new release should be up next week. An internal beta is currently being tested.
