Post Licensing and mass deployment
Howdy,

Firstly apologies if this post is in the wrong place but it seems like the only fit.

I am a sys admin for an educational institute and I use SCCM to deploy all our software. Packaging and deploying RobotC is actually quite easy to do but I'm having problems with the licensing aspect.
The problem is our techs have to manually deactivate a whole classroom if the machines are reimaged/replaced etc. As you can imagine this is time consuming.

I was wondering if activation/licensing can be done via command line or something to make it easier to deploy the software? The reality is I would like to kick off a machine reimage and walk away, come back in 40 minutes and see RobotC installed, activated and working 100% rather than fiddling about with each device.

If there is a way to do this that would be great.

Thanks.

Hi Mr.Petes,

Did you ever figure this out? Our school is switching from monolithic Altiris deployment to System Center Config Manager and the licensing complication with our Building License remains.

Any insights you've gained would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks!
