Revisiting an old problem. When I turn on the cortex to a robot, the robot autonomously performs what was last programed. I am trying to get the robot to perform another task, but it seems to be stuck in the old program. How do I erase the old autonomous program so I can begin anew. Thanks. Bob Sedlak

The VEX Cortex can only have one program on the robot at any point in time. When you download a new program, or re-download the firmware, the old program is erased.
If you are having trouble with the robot driving away while you are attempting to download a new program, you can try placing the robot on something to lift up the drive wheels.
You can also program the robot using the USB cable without switching the power switch to on. Since the Cortex doe not have battery power the motors will not run, but since the cortex is being powered by the USB, you can still download a program or firmware to the robot.
