Post Quadrature Encoder Question
Hello, so i am working on a project in my robotics class and one of our goals is to collect quadrature encoder values while a motor is running. I am hoping i can start the motor THEN begin collecting sensor values, then end the collection of values, THEN stop the motor. This way i am only collecting values approx while the motor speed is plateaued. Is this possible? I was thinking maybe finding a way to store the values into a file after a certain amount of running time. But I'm not sure of the full capabilities of the robot.

Any help is appreciated and if more info is needed let me know

The Cortex internal encoder count is continuously updated if you configure the ports as an encoder. You can start a motor, delay, read the encoder, delay, read the encoder, and stop the motor.
Please attempt to write your code and post it if you have trouble.
