Post Vex Robotics Clawbot
We have built a Vex Clawbot and are modifying the manipulator. We have the Swept Away Classroom Competition kit, Mechatronics add odd and the booster kit. Are we going to be able to modify a Clawbot to that it can compete in a Swept away classroom competition without knowing any programming or Autodesk?

This all depends on what modifications are being made. You can certainly try to match the modified robot's motors to that of the default code that's preloaded on the Cortex; but we always recommend creating a custom program that can be used to drive the specific robot configuration that you have designed (as this is almost always preferable to modifying the robot's hardware to match the built-in program).

You can find information on this process, including step by step instructions on how to program the Cortex for remote control operation, in the VEX Cortex Video Trainer using ROBOTC curriculum (link below).
