Our team just got and installed a LCD Screen.
According to the comments in VEX_Competition_Includes.c, this is what you are supposed to see:

// ----------------
// |Disabled | The robot is idle. This occurs before both the autonomous and user
// |Time mm:ss.s | control states. The time display is minutes and seconds it has been idle.
// ----------------
//
// ----------------
// |Autonomous | The robot is running autonomous code.
// |Time mm:ss.s | control states. The time display is minutes and seconds it has been running.
// ----------------
//
// ----------------
// |User Control | The robot is running user control code.
// |Time mm:ss.s | control states. The time display is minutes and seconds it has been running.
// ----------------

But instead of "Autonomous" or "User Control" we see "VexCompetitionT". I don't see anywhere in the file where this is written so it confuses me. Is there an explanation?
Thanks,

What you're seeing is the name of the program, a shortened version of "VEX Competition Template".

Once you run the program, it will stop displaying the name of the program, and display the appropriate modes. To test the code and see the text, make sure you follow the correct testing procedure found on this page: http://www.robotc.net/support/vex/ under "VEX Robotics Competition Support".
