Post Help! Having a serious problem pre-competiton
Purchased RobotC and downloaded and compiled sample files for two of our robots and now I cannot get the remote and cortex to switch back to manual control. Every time I turn on the robot it just runs the last program it had access to. What am I doing wrong?

Has anyone ever had this problem before? I upgrade all the latest files for both the remote and the cortex (as per instructions on video trainer).

If anyone can give me some advice it would be appreciated. My school has a competition this Saturday.

The issue is that you are used to using the "Default" firmware for the VEX Cortex. Because the Vex can only hold one program at a time, once you downloaded the ROBOTC firmware and a program, the previous "default" program was removed.

You can either use the VexNet Upgrade Utility to flash your cortex back to default code (available from vex robotics website under downloads) or you can load ROBOTC's default firmware program that should act just like the standard out of box default program - you can find this under the /Advanced/Vex Cortex Default.c in the sample programs folder.
