Post Updating the cortex
We've been away from the robots for a few months. I connected the cortex via a usb cable, and I can't get it to update the cortex. I tried reinstalling the drivers, but I can't get the update to go through. Also, is there a way to reset the programming to its default mode fr the joystick? I can't find that anywhere.

Post Re: Updating the cortex
Depending on how the Cortex's are connected to the computer, the Cortex may simply need set up again (new firmware, reconnected to a VEXNet Joystick Controller, etc) if any of their settings were changed. Please take a look through the 'Getting Started with VEX Cortex' guide on the ROBOTC wiki ( ... _using_USB) to make sure that none of those common troubleshooting problems are the culprit, and please let us know if you continue to run into issues with the setup.

Once the Cortex's are connected to the computer(s), you can download the default Cortex remote control program (the one that ships with the Cortex) back onto the robot by opening and downloading the 'ROBOTC VEX Cortex Default.c' sample program in the 'Advanced' Sample Programs folder (sample programs can be opened via the 'File -> Open Sample Programs' menu option in ROBOTC).
