 Help with quadrature encoder...I am a total nube with RobotC and and VEX controller, and need help with the quad encoder. I can't get any of the sample programs to work. Does the encoder plug into input ports or int ports? If it plugs into input ports, are there any that I cannot use? Please help!

Re: Help with quadrature encoder... That was a help. I now realize that I have the older single wire version of the shaft encoder. Is there documentation for it as well?

Re: Help with quadrature encoder... The whole Teaching ROBOTC for VEX was made using the non-quad encoders. Just go to:
http://www.robotc.net/vex_full/ and go to Sensing, and Autonomy. That section uses the encoders.
