 Webinar issues
Hello:
I am trying to view the recorded webinars for NXT programming. I am able to view them just fine at work, however they do not work at home. I have downloaded the codex and installed it. I have not had any other issues with *.wmv files. Any ideas on what to try?
I saved them as a file and tried to view them at home. I also tried to view them directly from the website and I get nothing.
Thanks

 Re: Webinar issues
What application are you using to view the .wmv file? I know it's probably Windows Media Player, but I just wanted to make sure. If it is Windows Media Player, what version are you running and is that the most up-to-date version?

 Re: Webinar issues
I have version 11. I have watched some of the videos from the curriculum guide, they work just fine. For some reason these recorded webinar's are the only videos I play that do not have any sound. I was just wondering if this was common and if anyone had any suggestions.
Thanks in advance Benny

 Re: Webinar issues
Benny, Did you install the necessary codec for it? On the page it says: You can pick it up here: [ LINK]. Regards, Xander

 Re: Webinar issues
I'm curious, try installing VLC Media player (It's free). I use that as my media player and I'm able to play those recordings. Let me know if it still has issues after that.

 Re: Webinar issues
Some one else just recommended that to me also. I will try it tonight. I fully suspect it is an issue with my computer, but any other file I try to play works correctly. I wonder if that codec is not getting installed correctly on my system for some reason. I will keep you posted....

 Re: Webinar issues
Great. It could be possible one of your core video codecs is broken. I'm not an expert so it's just a guess. VLC, I believe, comes with its own set of codecs as well as runs the one you downloaded that's necessary for running the webinar recording.
Anyway, glad that it works now.
