Post subject:  pursuing a robotics career?

What major would be best for pursuing a robotics career? So I am really into robotics because it requires not just hands-on construction, but also programming. So what would be the best major for pursuing a career in robotics. I am thinking between mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science. I am definitely going to be taking computer science, but I am not sure whether it will be as a major or minor.

In some schools, it is possible to do a double major. I did a double major on Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with my BS degree. If you have to favor one over the other, it really depends on which one interests you more.

I met a student over the summer that told me that this program was the only one of its kind in the country.

Not sure if that is true, but it seemed worth a look. Good luck,

Just FYI, WPI is a sponsor of FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). They provide the robotics library code for the competition.
