 Re: RCX TTT Player
You have won... The attractive set of steak knives and the 60 piece high-tea crockery set! But wait! There is more! In recognition of your usefulness, we're also including a priceless collection of second hand sky hooks!
Congratulations!

 Re: RCX TTT Player
So... I'm done with it. I think. I need to play against it some more, but it seems to be finished. I haven't worked on it since may-april, and decided to finish today... it took me all of 30 minutes to see the errors in my code and improve it... It should never lose. It attempts to give itself multiple winning positions. Should work fine. I hope. I should have something up within the week.

 Re: RCX TTT Player
Don't say "should" so much! Say "will!" How can a robot succeed if its master doesn't have any confidence in it?

 Re: RCX TTT Player
It works. It'll never lose unless you cheat I'm editing the video now. Since I now have my own website, I'll be posting about it there and putting a link to it on here. It should be up today/tomorrow.

 Re: RCX TTT Player
Why don't you make it detect invalid moves?

 Re: RCX TTT Player
Because I'm already nearing the memory limit of the RCX. It takes about half a minute for the program to download

 Re: RCX TTT Player
16kb of ROM. 512 RAM... idk what the unit is, but I think it's bytes.

 Re: RCX TTT Player
Oooooooo. That's bad, especially the 512 bytes of RAM. What can you do with that? That is probably a reason that the NXT was introduced. I believe that the EV3 has even more RAM.

 Re: RCX TTT Player
There was a reference to an RCX tic-tac-toe playing robot that used only one variable for playing the game in an old book of mine, though the website for it no longer exists. I would've liked to see that code...
Also, I don't remember where, but I heard that the RCX has pretty similar specs to the computer on the Apollo 11 Lunar Lander, or something like that.
