PID and the Tetrix motor controller
Hi all, question about the PID feature and Tetrix motor controllers... . I've seen an example of using the encoders to control distance travelled with Tetrix motors, and I've seen an example of using PID to automatically control motor speed with Lego motors. We tried to make it work with Tetrix motors, by following the Lego example, but it didn't work. In the debugger while running, we always saw N/A for the PID numbers.
Is it the case that PID for motor speed is only for Lego motors?
Thanks, Matt

Re: PID and the Tetrix motor controller
No number will be displayed. The PID processing is done on the HiTechnic DC Motor Controller, and it does not output the speeds to the NXT. Therefore, PID will always show N/A for Tetrix motors, even though PID is running.
