Post subject:  joystick.joy1_y1 not returning the full range

Hello,

So we're having a bit of trouble out of our joysticks, so I'm hoping someone can point us in the right direction. Basically, our left joystick isn't returning the full range of values. It either gives us -128 or 127 or 0 and nothing in between. Our right joystick however, returns the full range of values. So we can essentially make nice and easy left hand turns, but anything else make for fast and jittery movement due to the lack of range.

Is this something with our setup? We've tried different controllers and this also happened at our competition last weekend.

There are two buttons on the Logitech controller itself you will want to take a look at to ensure they are set in the correct positions; the 'Mode' button on the front of the joystick (underneath the 9/back button, above the left joystick) and the D/X switch on the back of the controller.

As far as the 'Mode' button and 'D/X' switch on the joystick itself, "The Mode button on your Gamepad F310 swaps the functionality of the directional pad (D-pad) with the left thumbstick" (from Logitech's specification page)

The D and X switch on the back switches between 'DirectInput and XInput' (more information found on Logitech's site).

You will want to make sure that the Mode button is off (the red light should be off) and that the D/X switch is set to D. If both of these settings are correct and you are still having issues, please post the code that you are using (via the

tags) and we'll be more than happy to assist you further.
