Post Gathering User Input from NXT?
Hey, this is my third year doing this and I want to try something different for the FTC Autonomous mode. Typically we have multiple programs form multiple scenarios, ie., delays, positions, etc. But that hogs memory and can be confusing. I want tomknow if there is a way that I can get input from the user before placing the bot as to what delay to have, where were starting, and so on. If there is a way to do this, can you please show me how as well?

Any help is appreciated,
Thanks in advance,

GenericT

You can put in a menu system at the beginning of your program. A menu system in its simplest form is incrementing or decrementing a variable when one of left or right NXT buttons is pressed, and advancing the menu when the center button is pressed.

PS In the future, please only put your posts in one place. It greatly reduces the confusion of people who are trying to give you answers.

If you would like, you can use my AutonomousChooser found at https://github.com/hprobotics/ftcresources Documentation will follow soon, or you can edit menu_config.h and Autonomous.c for your robot. It creates a menu that looks like this:
