Post Need joystick help
Hello. I'm new to this forum and am in need of some help with the joystick.

When I try to switch to "Joystick Control - Competition" I am unable to because this option does not appear in my drop down menu. I am in Menu Level "Expert" and when I click on "Debugger Windows" the only option I have listed is "Joystick Control - Basic" . I have also tried changing the menu level to "Super User" but that doesn't change anything. Is this a bug in the software, or am I doing something incorrectly? I need this for the FTC competition and am not sure what to try next. Anyone have any advice or information?

Thanks!

What version are you using? Is it 3.62 or 4.26?

Looking at the online documentation, it seems like they've moved (and possibly renamed) the Joystick Control - Competition menu option. Try checking under the LEGO Brick menu and look for "Joystick Control - Competition", "Joystick Control - Game", or "Joystick Control - FTC".

OK, just tried that, but there is only one joystick item to select: "Joystick Control - Basic"

Any other ideas or things to try?

I just tried one more thing, and figured out what was wrong. We were in virtual worlds. Apparently you can't use that function in the virtual world? It does appear in the drop down menu where you indicated as long as we're set to physical robot. Thanks for your help! BTW, I looked at your team website, and our FTC team is made up of homeschooled kids too. I also like your verse. Thanks again!

Oh yeah, I didn't think about the Virtual Worlds possibility.

Thanks! The website actually hasn't been updated yet for this year, and our team has actually changed a lot. We have two members returning from last year, two new members, and two members transferring from our sister team. However, I'm pretty sure that at least five of our members are still homeschooled.
