 updating robotc
When I started robot c it said I was outdated and needed to update to 3.08 I have 3.05 right now. My question is last time I updated we had a lot of issues that we finally got worked out. We are competing in worlds in anaheim in april and I don't want to mess anything up. Should I update or just leave it at 3.05? thanks for your advice. sincerely nervous rookie coach first time in worlds matt anderson vex jets 4073a

 Re: updating robotc
In terms of functionality, the big difference between ROBOTC 3.05 and 3.08 was the addition of support for the new VEX Integrated Encoders. If you're not using these, you're not missing out on a lot of functionality.
My recommendation is that if things are working great and you're nervous about changing things, stick with 3.05. As long as your robot responds appropriately to the field control system, there is no mandate that you run the latest version.
