 New Technical Release May 23
Robot Virtual World Users,
I know that we originally said May 15! Well we had to push that date back one week. I have to give the development team lots of credit, they are working on this project around the clock... What they are doing is hard! Sorry about the wait.
There is a new release coming on May 15. This release includes: Touch, Light, Sonar, Encoders, Compass, and Magnet sensors. Robots will have grippers Users will be able to score points Once you have enough points a "stargate" will appear and if you can navigate to the stargate you will go to another world.
There will also be multiple improvements on the user interface.
It will be cool!

Re: New Technical Release May 23
Downloaded it. Vista says it doesn't like the file type (mime?) - hence it does not install. Any hints?

Perhaps the download failed or got corrupted? Can you try downloading it again and reporting back?

Re: New Technical Release May 23
We have found the source of the issue. For now, you can add ".exe" to the filename so that it knows what type of file it is. This is an issue with Internet Explorer that we are currently resolving. EDIT: It is now resolved. Go ahead and re-download it. Thanks for your patience.

Re: New Technical Release May 23
This was on a student's computer. We had downloaded it twice. Since we were using Internet Explorer 8 and there was no file extension on the downloaded file, "exe" was probably the issue. Will try again next week when I see the student again. To login for the download to my Windows 7 computer I tried to log into CSSN using Chrome, I wasn't allowed in. I then tried IE9, no problems. The new release has installed OK, and I look forward to trying it.

Downloaded it again on student's computers. Installed fine on both Windows XP & Vista systems using Internet Explorer 8. Thanks!
