speed and start location on RVW
Is it just my computer/connection, or is RVW really slow?
Also, is there a way to start at a specific location to test a section of code?

Re: speed and start location on RVW
Hello pimathnerd, and welcome to the forums!
RVW is a somewhat graphics-heavy program (especially compared to ROBOTC itself) and as a result is graphics-card dependent. As far as the actual robots' speeds, we try to scale them as close as possible to the real thing so (depending on the map pack you are using) they may seem to run slowly, but it's only to keep things on the level.
At this point we do not have a 'place your robot' option available but it seems like a good idea and is something I'll kick over to the development team for consideration. On some maps, though, we do have waypoints that you can pick from before running your program that will give you a little bit of flexibility as to where the robot starts. This way you don't have to run the entire course just to test one section of code.
Hope this helps!
