Does anyone happen to know if the Arduino version of RobotC is compatible with the Sea MATE controller?

You'll have to find out which Arduino type it uses. I can't find that info in the spec sheet or the site.

The best answer that I have received is the following from the MATE folks:
(1) Go to our website http://www.marinetech.org/
(2) Select "CURRICULUM" then "INTERMEDIATE ROV COURSE" then "MODULES" and "MODULE 9"
(3) Follow the instructions to sign-in and read the module and view the PowerPoint slideshow and helpful links

The curriculum specifically mentions the UNO. However, it is entirely unclear as to the controller board itself as the curriculum does not mention the SEA MATE controller at all.

I am still asking questions of the folks that make the board behind the link as I am not clear if it is a shield that requires an UNO or if the UNO is part of it. Their documentation is really not clear. So in the interest of time I am posting here as I am waiting for answers as I might learn of additional questions (since Arduino, shields, interfacing with it; is still foreign to me).

If it uses the UNO, it should probably work, unless they did some funny things with the bootloader.

the Sea Mate documentation is poor at best. The Sea Mate uses arduino uno.
I had to build my own. the pin nomenclature not the same as the uno. If you email me at garoldrodgers@att.net I will send you a flow chart to help program the Sea Mate.

My attempt to use arduino to control the mate board has been limited. I am not a programmer.
now I going to try to use the joystick routine to control the rov. I have gotten the Sea Mate to respond to pwm sample program.

on seat of robotc for arduino is dirt cheap.

I will figure it out.

I have been working threw the SeaMate board. I have found that I can pull 6 volt to power the UNO.
I have posted the arduino and the mate board. What I need help is how to use the Logiteck f31o to control the notion. What I want to do is use the joy stick to control the motors. the horizontal will be used forward on both joystick to go forward and back on both to reverse. The two vertical motors will be both joystick in the ROV will go down and the joysticks will be out to go up.

on the SeaMate board the pins are paired so on pin controls the motor and the adjacent pin controls revers. The second half of the SeaMate is a H-bridge for 4 motors and it can handle the bilge pump motors we use for propulsion.
