Post subject:  nMotorEncoder problem

I have two different sets of students who are trying to download the following code:

nMotorEncoder[right] = 0;
nMotorEncoder[left] = 0;

nMotorEncoderTarget[right] = 720;
nMotorEncoderTarget[left] = 720;

motor[right] = 50;
motor[left] = 50;

The robots did move exactly two revolutions forward at 50% power, but instead of waiting in place for the remainder of the 5 seconds, the robots will start turning in place. It makes no sense because we have tried replacing the brick; downloading the firmware, changing what computer is being used and changing motors. The above code is exactly the same as what other students in the class are using and their robots are performing as they should. Any ideas of what to try would be appreciated!!
