Post problem with selecting communication port for paltforms
I just built my robot I started programming "Moving Forward" and when I tried to compile and download the program a new window has appeared asked for selecting communication port for paltforms. I have selected the automatic selection but it doe not work. I tried VEX USB port (status: busy) but it also does not work. I'm not able to select any port. What should I do please help.

Double check to make sure that the VEX IQ Firmware Update Utility is not running in the background (http://www.vexrobotics.com/vexiq/software/firmware) as the IQ (like most other microcontrollers) is only able to communicate with one program at a time. Also, try rebooting the IQ brain and restarting ROBOTC (after closing the Firmware Update Utility, if it is open) to reestablish the communication link between the IQ brain and ROBOTC.

Take a look through our 'Getting Started with the VEX IQ' page on the ROBOTC wiki just to make sure no setup steps were missed as well.

Let us know if it continues to give you issues and we'll be more than happy to assist you further.
