Re: create a robot with batteries charged
It *may* be possible to both charge and run a robot off of a solar panel array; however, this could potentially be a complex project that requires custom circuitry and/or hardware hacking of the IQ platform (I'm assuming this is for the IQ platform).
Please note that such modifications will more than likely void the warranty on your IQ system and has the very real potential to damage the IQ brain and/or battery. Because of this, you may not be able to find a lot help on this custom project on these particular forums (the ROBOTC forums are more focused on coding than hardware). I would instead suggest taking a look at some of the many tutorials on this subject that can be found online (https://www.google.com/search?q=solar+powered+robots
) and starting with a cheaper platform, if possible, to minimize the risk of damage. As always, please exercise proper caution and safety practices if you decide to pursue this project.
