Post Difference in the trial version of Virtual Brick
I have started testing out Virtual Brick to see if it would be good for our robotics club. But I've noticed that only data Flow blocks don't seem to work despite working in a real brick. So, if anyone can tell me, I am wondering if data Flow blocks are supported in the purchased version and disabled in the trial version.

Thanks in advance.

There are some blocks in the EV3 programming software which are currently only compatible with a physical EV3 robot, and you should avoid using them with the Virtual Brick. If you attempt to use these blocks in your program with the Virtual Brick, the software will fade them out and display a symbol with an exclamation point.

A full listing of these blocks can be found on page 14 of the Virtual Brick Teacher's Guide, linked below.

Yes, thank you. I saw that certain blocks are inaccessible in the LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 software and that those blocks are listed in the Teacher's Guide on page 14, as you say. But none of those listed are data Flow blocks. It is critical that we be able to use data Flow blocks but as it stands now, I have tried them all, and none of them work. However, the teacher's manual seems to indicate they can be used in the Virtual Brick. So I specifically want to know if these blocks are disabled in just the trial version of the software. If not, that means this software is somehow otherwise incompatible with our systems, and I will not be recommending it for purchase to our club. If it can be confirmed the problem is merely limited to the trial version, then I think the purchased version would be a valuable asset for us.

Can you post your program file? That would help with determining what the problem is.
