Would anyone have some advice on this issue??

I've upgraded to RobotC 2.25. Works great with Cortex. However when trying to use with the original vex pic (0.5) and controller, the RX1 light does not come on once a user program is loaded. I have the program correctly set to use the 0.5 vex, and the standard file master and robotC firmware updated fine. After reboot, the controller light (rx1) comes on as if the connection is fine. But as soon as I load a user program and roboot...the rx1 light goes off.

The compiler will not allow me to use bVexAutonomousMode = false; or bIfiAutonomousMode = false;. But it's behaving as if it's in in autonomous mode and won't let the controller connect. What could I be missing that would allow the controller to connect once the user program is launched? My batteries are fine and crystals match....

I have the same problem and cannot believe that there have been no replies to your question :x . And the question I raised about it in an earlier thread just got a comment it out. I was to demonstrate RobotC to around 50 teachers this past week and I was unable to get the PIC Micro to recognise the controllers. I had to install the old version of RobotC over my registered ones on all the laptops (6) in the middle of the presentation. As a result all the teachers went away with a less than favourable impression of RobotC.

The ANNOYING thing is that it 'seemed to work' on my laptop when I was testing it before the presentation.

If you need a response to a support question, you should mail Make sure they know you wrote on the forums and never got the response you needed. I am sure they are sensitive to potential lost sales.

We're aware of the issue and will be posting a Cortex 2.26 version tomorrow (10/4/10) to address this issue along with a few others.
