Extension Cables for NXT servo motors
We need to extend the cables for interfacing to the NXT servos. What connectors are available and acceptable? Also, where can they be obtained?

You can buy cables from Mindsensors and HiTechnic: http://www.mindsensors.com/index.php?mo ... tion=29:29http://www.hitechnic.com/cgi-bin/commer ... ey=NWS1000Not sure if you can go much beyond 100cm due to the encoder signals becoming more degraded, YMMV. - Xander

I did an experiment with extending cables using CAT5 a while back, here's what I found: http://www.g7smy.co.uk/?lego/extentionsKarl

Thank you Karl: Is this an acceptable procedure for a FTC competition?

I don't know. Examine the FTC rules, if they don't say anything about it then I'd be mischievous and say yes, then argue pedantically if someone makes a fuss.
