 Interfacing problems
Hi I have a few questions, I'm using a mega 2560 or a seeduino. 1. how do you write a program that is stand alone and using the usb serial connection?
2.which kind of joystick is ROBOTC compatible with, I have standard usb logic3?
3. is there any drivers for using the arduino with a graphics lcd , eg KS0108 including info on pin connections?

 Re: Interfacing problems
Hi, dave. I have some answers for you.
1. I don't know. 2. RobotC is compatible with most joysticks, but it's specifically mapped for the Logitech Dual Action controller. 3. No. At least, not yet. Not that I know of.
Did that help?

 Re: Interfacing problems
Thank you for your response but if there is no way of overcoming question one I cannot see how robotc is of much practical use for the arduino community?

 Re: Interfacing problems
Well, by "I don't know" I meant I haven't tried. I have nothing to communicate with, so I have no way of knowing. Go ahead and give it a try yourself, if you want to know. Just remember; it's the first beta release. They will certainly add more features in the future. EDIT: oops. Typo.

 Re: Interfacing problems
Are you trying to have the program send data out of the USB port? Or just having a program run as a stand alone without the ROBOTC debugger?

 Re: Interfacing problems
Effectively I'm trying to do both. In the case of the USB port usage when using the arduino IDE not only can the board be programmed via the USB port but serial data can be re-sent to either the monitor program or to an independant terminal program, the IDE can be absent. The other case is simply running the Arduino board without the involvement of ROBOTC once the program has been debugged.
