Where do you build?
Just like it says. Where do you build? How are your parts stored? What's your space like? Here's my "workshop"

This video is a bit old and my room has changed a fair bit but I can't shoot a new video atm:

Wow. That's a lot of NXTs.

Re: Where do you build?
I wish I have a big enough space to put everything in one place but I don't. So my build place is scattered in several places. For heavy duty cutting, which is rare, I go to the garage where I keep various saws. For doing electronics work, I go to the machine room in the basement where I have a workbench with soldering irons, oscilloscopes, power supplies and other testing equipment. Unfortunately, this is my machine room where my 16TB server lives, so it gets noisy. The machine room is small, so I don't have a whole lot of storage space. I have some storage bins to keep some frequently used parts in the machine room. For all other parts, I have a row of storage bins in my crawl space which are accessible in the basement. I keep a lot of less frequently used tools in the crawl space too. I just got a 3D printer this week and don't have space for it, so I put it in my office upstairs by the other regular printer. Sometimes, I found myself running up and down the stairs a lot.

I wouldn't mind going up and down stairs if I had all that stuff

So you also are/have been some kind of music person? As well as RC vehicle user, drill presser, and roboticist?

CNC milling machine!! I want one but I don't have space for it! It looks like you have a coolant circulation system too. EDIT: Further examination, is that just a coolant drain? What do you do with the used coolant?

Oh, that is a CNC. How could I have missed the motors? This forum needs a *facepalm* smilie.

Coolant goes through a strainer, into a trash can and is recycled via pump. I don't have any of that stuff anymore. Some medical issues put the brakes on all of it for a while. I'm just now getting back into RC a little (2+ years) and I don't think the apartment I'm in now would be agreeable to bedroom CNC. I do also still tinker with music, although at the moment none of the pro-audio stuff works with windows 8.

So you did have a coolant circulation system? Do you mind telling me the make and model of the CNC machine? I have been researching these and haven't really found anything I like yet.

I have a single bin with exactly 3600 pieces in it and my mindstorms box and a custom sensor for a total of 4220 parts. I have other non-technic elements, too, but hopefully my collection will grow! I build in my bedroom.

Re: Where do you build?
Well, they are not all robotic elements, actually, most of them are technic pieces. But still, it is a great thing to have when working with mindstorms! I have 5 sensors and three motors, one NXT, and seven cables. Sadly, I have no bluetooth adapter.
