 SMUX problem with touch sensor
I have a simple task: to use two touch sensors with the Hitechnic SMUX. But when I try to test the SMUX with the "lego-touch-SMUX-test1.c", it doesn't work properly. I connect a touch sensor to port 1 of SMUX, which is connected to port 1 of NXT. But the display remains "ACTIVE" and never changes. The LEDs on the SMUX are normal. Can you suggest any possible reasons for this?
Finally I turn to use the TMUX instead of the SMUX to do my job. But I wanna know the SMUX's problem.

Re: SMUX problem with touch sensor
Some questions for you: - Are you using ROBOTC 3.55B2 or later?
- Are you using Driver Suite versiion 3.2.1?
- Are the batteries on for the SMUX fresh?

Well, I'm using 3.54... But I see that your said 3.55B2 is a beta version. Is it reliable enough?

Re: SMUX problem with touch sensor
I've been using it for months. It's a lot more reliable than 3.54. Later today there will be an announcement for 3.59.0, you may want to wait for that one. It's got a LOT of fixes.

Re: SMUX problem with touch sensor
I am just waiting for the complete changelog before I announce it. The trouble is, the devs are just terrible slackers = Xander

Well now that we've just woken up from our mid-day nap, the changelog has been sent to Xander.

Re: SMUX problem with touch sensor
Shall I uninstall the old version before installing this one? What about the licence?

Re: SMUX problem with touch sensor
Do a total uninstall, and clear out any files that may be left in the programs folder for ROBOTC. Then install 3.59.0 Your license will work just fine, it'll remain activated. = Xander

Re: SMUX problem with touch sensor
Doesn't the Touch Sensor Mux do that too?

Re: SMUX problem with touch sensor
The TouchMux is for Touch Sensors only, it's a completely analogue sensor. The Sensor MUX is a more complicated sensor.
