Post RVW Curriculum Companion Tables 2.4.0 - Small Window
Hello,

I have a problem with RVW Curriculum Companion Tables 2.4.0 After a week of successful use I am now getting a small window that cannot be resized when I compile and download to RVW. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all of the software and followed the methods outlined in this post where a user had a similar problem.

viewtopic.php?f=66&t=6134&p=24827&hilit=window+small#p24827

Even after all of this, I still have the problem. I have installed and can use the Palm Island and Level Builder worlds with no problem. Only an issue with CC Tables 2.4.0

I have attached a screen shot and the output_log.txt for CC Tables 2.4.0

Thanks for the help.

Hi wilson,
Try making a shortcut to LearningROBOTCTables.exe (right-click on it, select Create Shortcut; it may prompt you to place the shortcut on the desktop - this is fine). Right click on the shortcut and select Properties.
At the end of the Target field, add a space and then -nxt
Click OK to close and save the properties
Double click on the shortcut

Does it work when you do this?

If not, can you delete output_log.txt, run the virtual world, and then upload the new output_log.txt that is created?

Thanks,
--Ryan

Made the shortcut with the -nxt switch. Still didn't work. I have attached the output_log.txt from that attempt.

Curiously, I have found that it only affects the profile I log in with. I logged on as the local administrator and an account in the "user" group and it worked just fine with those two. This makes me suspect it is a problem related to a user profile or user registry settings.

The account that presents the problem is a domain account that is part of the local Administrators group. It is logging in using cached credentials.(permissions?) The OS is Windows 7 Professional 64bit - SP1. This may be TMI, but I thought it could be relevant. I can provide more info if needed.

At least in the meantime I can use one of the other profiles.

Let me know what you think. Thanks for your help.

-Wilson

This was extremely helpful; I hadn't thought about that before. Try this:

1. Press WindowsKey-R to open the run dialog. Type "regedit" and press enter. For the sake of anyone else reading this, you'll need to be an administrator on the computer to run this command.
2. Navigate to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Robomatter and select the subkey corresponding to the RVW product that's having the issue. In this case, RVW Curriculum Companion.
3. Delete the values that start with Screenmanager Resolution Height and Screenmanager Resolution Width
4. Close the Registry Editor and RVW should now work.
