Communication between NXT and EV3 with Bluetooth
Hello everyone ! I'm quite new to the world of Robotc and I was wondering if it is possible to communicate from a NXT to an EV3 with Bluetooth. I would like to command other EV3 with my old NXT (i need only to send 2 integers in a message) Had someone tried this ? I saw this attempt : http://siouxnetontrack.wordpress.com/20 ... e-control/ but it's with the LEGO software that I don't want to use. Btw are all bluetooth features of Robotc 3 supported in the Robotc beta 4x ? Thanks ! Geraud

Re: Communication between NXT and EV3 with Bluetooth
BT is currently not supported on the EV3 yet Once it has been, it should be possible to simply send data from device to another. = Xander

Re: Communication between NXT and EV3 with Bluetooth
There's no ETA for Bluetooth right now. I am not sure raw access to the WiFi dongle will be supported, there are quite a lot of other things that have higher priority = Xander

Re: Communication between NXT and EV3 with Bluetooth
I am trying to play with bt at ev3. Not working. I noticed there are Mailbox APIs; I assume they are the new bt interface. Unfortunately, there is no documentation, nor sample about that. So, i went ahead to play with it. Unfortunately, it kept hand the box so badly that I have to redownload the kernel. Ugh!
Advise?

BT hasn't been tested yet, unfortunately, so nothing has been documented. It's on our todo list!

Re: Communication between NXT and EV3 with Bluetooth
Is there an estimated time frame for the EV3 Bluetooth support? Otherwise could you advise on how to create a bt connection between the EV3 brick and a PC?

Re: Communication between NXT and EV3 with Bluetooth
Is there any update on a timeline for RobotC supporting Bluetooth communication with/between EV3s?

Re: Communication between NXT and EV3 with Bluetooth
Is there an update of the timeline (as this question has been raised several times over the past years)

Re: Communication between NXT and EV3 with Bluetooth
I am anxiously waiting for a Robot C update to allow BT communication between EV3/NXT. I understand it's alot of work to implement but its been a few years and still no word. I hope you guys are progressing on this function.

Re: Communication between NXT and EV3 with Bluetooth
Is there any news on BT development for EV3? I saw it was nearing completion in May 2016 https://www.facebook.com/groups/legomindstorms/permalink/646052022209694/. I desperately need my EV3 to receive/send messages using BT. Is it perhaps at least possible to get access to any beta version?
